Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA), which rose 4.82% or 0.098 points to trade at 2.133 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 2.17% or 0.555 points to end at 26.160 and Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA) was up 1.48% or 0.360 points to 24.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL), which fell 1.30% or 0.120 points to trade at 9.145 at the close. Red Electrica Corporacion SA (MC:REE) declined 1.17% or 0.215 points to end at 18.110 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was down 0.58% or 0.13 points to 22.23.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 92 to 76 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.65% or 19.70 to $1213.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.77% or 1.20 to hit $69.03 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.91% or 1.43 to trade at $76.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.76% to 1.1628, while EUR/GBP rose 0.42% to 0.9044.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 95.02.
