Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Inditex (MC:ITX), which rose 1.91% or 0.600 points to trade at 32.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Santander (MC:SAN) added 0.89% or 0.049 points to end at 5.572 and Mapfre (MC:MAP) was up 0.89% or 0.026 points to 2.940 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which fell 4.30% or 0.550 points to trade at 12.230 at the close. Ferrovial (MC:FER) declined 1.96% or 0.380 points to end at 19.000 and Aena Aeropuertos SA (MC:AENA) was down 1.46% or 2.35 points to 158.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 110 to 74 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.30% or 0.550 to 12.230.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.32% or 4.25 to $1331.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.25% or 0.12 to hit $48.19 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.65% or 0.35 to trade at $54.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1962, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.9013.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 91.91.
