Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. (MC:ICAG), which rose 3.26% or 0.159 points to trade at 5.036 at the close. Meanwhile, B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) added 2.39% or 0.028 points to end at 1.199 and Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) was up 2.25% or 0.060 points to 2.727 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gamesa (MC:GAM), which fell 2.43% or 0.490 points to trade at 19.655 at the close. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) declined 2.21% or 0.925 points to end at 40.955 and Aena Aeropuertos SA (MC:AENA) was down 1.89% or 2.50 points to 129.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 107 to 90 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.36% or 4.65 to $1303.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.74% or 0.79 to hit $44.55 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 0.62 to trade at $46.24 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1103, while EUR/GBP fell 1.19% to 0.8915.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 97.22.
