Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG), which rose 1.92% or 0.04 points to trade at 2.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI) added 1.72% or 1.25 points to end at 73.75 and Acciona (BME:ANA) was up 1.57% or 1.90 points to 122.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA), which fell 3.81% or 0.37 points to trade at 9.28 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS) declined 3.66% or 0.85 points to end at 22.38 and Repsol (BME:REP) was down 2.62% or 0.32 points to 12.09.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 94 to 94 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.20% or 32.10 to $2,633.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.50% or 3.47 to hit $73.67 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 4.44% or 3.59 to trade at $77.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 102.29.
