Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA), which rose 1.04% or 0.280 points to trade at 27.280 at the close. Meanwhile, Acerinox (MC:ACX) added 0.95% or 0.115 points to end at 12.190 and Telefonica (MC:TEF) was up 0.94% or 0.065 points to 6.953 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE), which fell 2.06% or 0.560 points to trade at 26.630 at the close. B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) declined 1.50% or 0.021 points to end at 1.381 and Bankinter (MC:BKT) was down 1.47% or 0.120 points to 8.068.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 92 to 78 and 25 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.98% or 11.80 to $1187.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.63% or 0.45 to hit $72.02 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.50% or 0.40 to trade at $81.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1676, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 94.40.
