Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Bankia SA (MC:BKIA), which rose 2.27% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.153 at the close. Meanwhile, Bankinter (MC:BKT) added 0.98% or 0.082 points to end at 8.466 and BBVA (MC:BBVA) was up 0.92% or 0.055 points to 6.026 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indra A (MC:IDR), which fell 2.58% or 0.250 points to trade at 9.425 at the close. International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) declined 1.30% or 0.100 points to end at 7.580 and Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) was down 1.25% or 0.086 points to 6.818.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 94 to 83 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Indra A (MC:IDR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.58% or 0.250 to 9.425.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.70% or 8.60 to $1222.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.66% or 0.45 to hit $67.81 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.33% or 0.24 to trade at $72.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1694, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8928.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 94.42.
