Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Insurance and Media & Publishing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Methanol Chemicals Company (SE:2001), which rose 9.94% or 1.08 points to trade at 11.94 at the close. Meanwhile, Middle East Paper Co (SE:1202) added 4.85% or 1.18 points to end at 25.50 and Etihad Etisalat Co (SE:7020) was up 4.42% or 0.84 points to 19.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (SE:4130), which fell 10.00% or 1.96 points to trade at 17.64 at the close. Dallah Healthcare Holding Company (SE:4004) declined 9.98% or 8.80 points to end at 79.40 and Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110) was down 9.94% or 1.34 points to 12.14.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 131 to 42 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Methanol Chemicals Company (SE:2001) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.94% or 1.08 to 11.94. Shares in Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (SE:4130) fell to 52-week lows; falling 10.00% or 1.96 to 17.64. Shares in Dallah Healthcare Holding Company (SE:4004) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.98% or 8.80 to 79.40.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.85% or 0.59 to $69.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $74.76 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1222.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.11% to 4.3718, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7510.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.47.
