Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Petrochemicals and Energy & Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Tourism Enterprise Co. (TADAWUL:4170), which rose 7.46% or 0.05 points to trade at 0.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:7040) added 6.44% or 10.40 points to end at 171.80 and Sustained Infrastructure Holding Company SJSC (TADAWUL:2190) was up 3.54% or 1.15 points to 33.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130), which fell 6.67% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.14 at the close. Fitaihi Holding Group (TADAWUL:4180) declined 3.28% or 0.11 points to end at 3.24 and Ataa Educational Co (TADAWUL:4292) was down 3.00% or 2.50 points to 80.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 156 to 115 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sustained Infrastructure Holding Company SJSC (TADAWUL:2190) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.54% or 1.15 to 33.65.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.57% or 0.41 to $72.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.41% or 0.32 to hit $77.91 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 5.45 to trade at $2,038.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.12% to 4.10, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 102.21.
