Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Insurance and Industrial Investment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311), which rose 4.49% or 1.10 points to trade at 25.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Methanol Chemicals Company (SE:2001) added 3.04% or 0.32 points to end at 10.86 and Alujain Corporation (SE:2170) was up 2.79% or 0.85 points to 31.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110), which fell 7.77% or 0.56 points to trade at 6.65 at the close. Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) declined 6.00% or 5.20 points to end at 81.50 and Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker (SE:1214) was down 5.22% or 0.56 points to 10.16.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 128 to 42 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) fell to 5-year lows; losing 7.77% or 0.56 to 6.65. Shares in Methanol Chemicals Company (SE:2001) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.04% or 0.32 to 10.86. Shares in Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.00% or 5.20 to 81.50.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.07% or 0.05 to $69.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $74.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.00 to trade at $1227.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.30% to 4.3862, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7492.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 94.18.
