Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Media & Publishing and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (TADAWUL:6060), which rose 9.95% or 1.94 points to trade at 21.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Batic Investments and Logistics Co (TADAWUL:4110) added 9.27% or 0.24 points to end at 2.83 and Saudi Ground Services Co (TADAWUL:4031) was up 9.09% or 4.90 points to 58.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:4240), which fell 5.16% or 0.62 points to trade at 11.40 at the close. Astra Industrial Group (TADAWUL:1212) declined 3.73% or 6.80 points to end at 175.40 and Etihad Etisalat Co (TADAWUL:7020) was down 3.39% or 1.80 points to 51.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 163 to 134 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (TADAWUL:4240) fell to all time lows; losing 5.16% or 0.62 to 11.40. Shares in Batic Investments and Logistics Co (TADAWUL:4110) rose to 52-week highs; up 9.27% or 0.24 to 2.83. Shares in Saudi Ground Services Co (TADAWUL:4031) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.09% or 4.90 to 58.80.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.08% or 0.92 to $84.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.16% or 1.04 to hit $88.98 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 9.45 to trade at $2,398.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.16% to 3.99, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 106.02.
