Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Agriculture & Food, Financial Services and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (SE:8150), which rose 9.85% or 2.29 points to trade at 25.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Halwani Bros (SE:6001) added 8.58% or 4.30 points to end at 54.40 and Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (SE:4013) was up 4.94% or 3.20 points to 68.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040), which fell 3.02% or 0.85 points to trade at 27.25 at the close. The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) declined 2.94% or 0.64 points to end at 21.16 and Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060) was down 2.82% or 2.00 points to 69.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 110 to 75 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (SE:8150) rose to 3-years highs; up 9.85% or 2.29 to 25.55. Shares in Halwani Bros (SE:6001) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 8.58% or 4.30 to 54.40. Shares in Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (SE:4013) rose to all time highs; up 4.94% or 3.20 to 68.00.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 6.69% or 2.65 to $36.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 5.90% or 2.46 to hit $39.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.83% or 31.50 to trade at $1752.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.22% to 4.2743, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7520.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.060.
