Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Insurance and Hotels & Tourism sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Alujain Corporation (SE:2170), which rose 9.95% or 2.85 points to trade at 31.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) added 9.91% or 7.40 points to end at 82.10 and Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (SE:4240) was up 7.05% or 1.64 points to 24.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180), which fell 7.72% or 1.18 points to trade at 14.10 at the close. Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) declined 6.70% or 1.50 points to end at 20.90 and Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE:1210) was down 6.20% or 1.60 points to 24.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 109 to 65 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.58% or 0.40 to $68.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.63% or 0.46 to hit $73.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.60% or 7.30 to trade at $1215.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.13% to 4.3333, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 95.19.
