Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Retail and Petrochemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005), which rose 5.36% or 0.82 points to trade at 16.12 at the close. Meanwhile, City Cement Co (SE:3003) added 3.69% or 0.50 points to end at 14.04 and Northern Region Cement Co (SE:3004) was up 3.24% or 0.31 points to 9.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213), which fell 9.90% or 0.90 points to trade at 8.19 at the close. Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. (SE:2030) declined 6.17% or 2.50 points to end at 38.00 and National Medical Care Company (SE:4005) was down 4.23% or 2.30 points to 52.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 97 to 81 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213) fell to all time lows; losing 9.90% or 0.90 to 8.19.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.88% or 0.50 to $57.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.56% or 0.36 to hit $64.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.75 to trade at $1427.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.00% to 4.1821, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 97.312.
