Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Media & Publishing and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.07%.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Tanmiah Food Company SCJSC (TADAWUL:2281), which rose 5.13% or 6.40 points to trade at 131.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8180) added 4.78% or 0.64 points to end at 14.04 and Middle East Specialized Cables Co (TADAWUL:2370) was up 4.43% or 0.42 points to 9.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Arab National Bank (TADAWUL:1080), which fell 3.61% or 1.20 points to trade at 32.05 at the close. Riyad Bank (TADAWUL:1010) declined 3.05% or 1.00 points to end at 31.80 and Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (TADAWUL:8210) was down 2.71% or 4.00 points to 143.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 123 to 115 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tanmiah Food Company SCJSC (TADAWUL:2281) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.13% or 6.40 to 131.20.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 2.17% or 1.71 to $77.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.08% or 1.75 to hit $82.24 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.35 to trade at $1,816.15 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.44% to 4.00, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.02% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 103.87.
