Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Multi Investment and Media & Publishing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Jazan Development Co. (SE:6090), which rose 8.55% or 1.38 points to trade at 17.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Tourism Enterprise Co. (SE:4170) added 5.71% or 2.70 points to end at 50.00 and Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290) was up 4.65% or 1.20 points to 27.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270), which fell 9.98% or 3.05 points to trade at 27.50 at the close. Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) declined 9.96% or 2.48 points to end at 22.42 and Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100) was down 9.95% or 2.00 points to 18.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 136 to 60 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jazan Development Co. (SE:6090) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.55% or 1.38 to 17.52. Shares in Tourism Enterprise Co. (SE:4170) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.71% or 2.70 to 50.00. Shares in Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 4.65% or 1.20 to 27.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 4.97% or 2.00 to $38.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 4.23% or 1.79 to hit $40.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 10.55 to trade at $1906.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.20% to 4.4042, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.7508.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 93.873.
