Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Retail, Energy & Utilities and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arab Sea Information Systems Co SJSC (SE:7201), which rose 10.00% or 3.00 points to trade at 33.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050) added 9.99% or 1.78 points to end at 19.60 and AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) was up 7.17% or 1.90 points to 28.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which fell 4.62% or 1.00 points to trade at 20.66 at the close. Saudi Arabian Mining Company (SE:1211) declined 3.49% or 1.20 points to end at 33.15 and Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8120) was down 2.26% or 0.32 points to 13.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 140 to 53 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 8.77% or 2.59 to $32.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 6.80% or 2.21 to hit $34.71 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.71% or 12.45 to trade at $1743.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.43% to 4.0795, while USD/SAR rose 0.04% to 3.7575.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 100.067.
