Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Cement, Insurance and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 1.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (TADAWUL:8210), which rose 6.95% or 9.60 points to trade at 147.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Arab National Bank (TADAWUL:1080) added 5.72% or 1.80 points to end at 33.25 and The Qassim Cement Co (TADAWUL:3040) was up 4.91% or 2.80 points to 59.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8180), which fell 3.87% or 0.54 points to trade at 13.40 at the close. Walaa Cooperative Insurance Company SJSC (TADAWUL:8060) declined 3.55% or 0.54 points to end at 14.66 and Sedco Capital REIT (TADAWUL:4344) was down 3.21% or 0.34 points to 10.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 119 to 118 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.35% or 0.28 to $79.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.28% or 0.24 to hit $84.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.57% or 10.35 to trade at $1,812.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.13% to 4.00, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.02% to 3.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 103.80.
