Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Retail and Petrochemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Kathiri Holding Co (TADAWUL:3008), which rose 10.00% or 4.60 points to trade at 50.60 at the close. Meanwhile, National Medical Care Company (TADAWUL:4005) added 9.95% or 7.90 points to end at 87.30 and Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (TADAWUL:8210) was up 6.45% or 10.00 points to 165.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Thimar Development Holding Co (TADAWUL:4160), which fell 9.98% or 5.35 points to trade at 48.25 at the close. Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8180) declined 9.41% or 1.40 points to end at 13.48 and Saudi Pharmaceutical Appliances (TADAWUL:2070) was down 4.66% or 1.12 points to 22.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 129 to 121 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in National Medical Care Company (TADAWUL:4005) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.95% or 7.90 to 87.30. Shares in Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (TADAWUL:8210) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.45% or 10.00 to 165.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.73% or 0.52 to $71.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.67% or 0.51 to hit $77.20 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.72% or 33.55 to trade at $1,983.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.30% to 4.09, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 101.92.
