Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Insurance and Industrial Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.87% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:2230), which rose 10.00% or 0.64 points to trade at 7.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8310) added 9.93% or 1.48 points to end at 16.38 and Arabian Contracting Services Company CJSC (TADAWUL:4071) was up 9.92% or 22.80 points to 252.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Takween Advanced Industries (TADAWUL:1201), which fell 3.10% or 0.42 points to trade at 13.12 at the close. AYYAN Investment Co SJSC (TADAWUL:2140) declined 2.18% or 0.54 points to end at 24.24 and Alujain Corporation (TADAWUL:2170) was down 1.97% or 0.90 points to 44.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 180 to 95 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:2230) rose to 5-year highs; rising 10.00% or 0.64 to 7.04. Shares in Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8310) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.93% or 1.48 to 16.38.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.96% or 1.52 to $79.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.76% or 1.44 to hit $83.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 3.05 to trade at $2,169.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.23% to 4.11, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 102.47.
