Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Building & Construction and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker (SE:1214), which rose 8.74% or 0.65 points to trade at 8.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (SE:4130) added 7.34% or 0.80 points to end at 11.70 and The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010) was up 6.36% or 3.50 points to 58.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Company for Learning and Education SJSC (SE:4291), which fell 6.36% or 2.15 points to trade at 31.65 at the close. Saudi Ceramic Co. (SE:2040) declined 5.80% or 1.36 points to end at 22.10 and Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300) was down 4.72% or 0.80 points to 16.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 103 to 85 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 9.99% or 2.73 to $24.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 6.16% or 1.77 to hit $26.96 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.98% or 14.95 to trade at $1510.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.80% to 4.0940, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7535.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.91% at 100.715.
