Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Real Estate Development and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Wataniya Insurance Company (TADAWUL:8300), which rose 10.00% or 2.26 points to trade at 24.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Ground Services Co (TADAWUL:4031) added 9.98% or 4.50 points to end at 49.60 and Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8230) was up 9.95% or 9.50 points to 105.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Automotive Services Co. (TADAWUL:4050), which fell 5.67% or 5.40 points to trade at 89.80 at the close. Saudi Steel Pipe Company (TADAWUL:1320) declined 5.49% or 3.40 points to end at 58.50 and Arabian Contracting Services Company CJSC (TADAWUL:4071) was down 4.96% or 14.00 points to 268.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 199 to 73 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Wataniya Insurance Company (TADAWUL:8300) rose to 52-week highs; up 10.00% or 2.26 to 24.86. Shares in Saudi Ground Services Co (TADAWUL:4031) rose to 5-year highs; up 9.98% or 4.50 to 49.60.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.87% or 0.68 to $78.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.63% or 0.52 to hit $82.56 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 1.15 to trade at $2,140.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.22% to 4.08, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 103.59.
