Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Telecoms & IT and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.47% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160), which rose 9.92% or 1.72 points to trade at 19.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. (SE:2030) added 7.89% or 10.80 points to end at 147.60 and National Gypsum Company (SE:2090) was up 5.94% or 1.70 points to 30.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Aseel Co Ltd (SE:4012), which fell 5.48% or 5.10 points to trade at 87.90 at the close. Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (SE:4130) declined 5.10% or 2.30 points to end at 42.80 and Saudi Marke (SE:4006) was down 3.52% or 1.15 points to 31.55.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 104 to 77 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. (SE:2030) rose to 5-year highs; up 7.89% or 10.80 to 147.60. Shares in National Gypsum Company (SE:2090) rose to 5-year highs; rising 5.94% or 1.70 to 30.30.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.22% or 0.13 to $58.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.18% or 0.11 to hit $61.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.90 to trade at $1843.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.18% to 4.5525, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7509.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 90.343.
