Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Retail and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which rose 9.94% or 1.72 points to trade at 19.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Malath Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8020) added 6.69% or 0.70 points to end at 11.16 and Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance (SE:8200) was up 5.05% or 0.48 points to 9.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Hokair Group (SE:1820), which fell 2.85% or 0.56 points to trade at 19.12 at the close. AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) declined 2.70% or 0.85 points to end at 30.60 and Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160) was down 2.28% or 0.38 points to 16.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 122 to 64 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.94% or 1.72 to 19.02.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.43% or 0.25 to $58.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.59% or 0.38 to hit $64.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.75 to trade at $1554.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.07% to 4.1854, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7515.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 96.935.
