Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Agriculture & Food and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.28% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Nama Chemicals Co. (TADAWUL:2210), which rose 10.00% or 3.30 points to trade at 36.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:7040) added 9.99% or 8.00 points to end at 88.10 and AYYAN Investment Co SJSC (TADAWUL:2140) was up 9.98% or 2.08 points to 22.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8240), which fell 8.59% or 3.25 points to trade at 34.60 at the close. Methanol Chemicals Company (TADAWUL:2001) declined 6.82% or 1.30 points to end at 17.76 and Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130) was down 6.67% or 0.01 points to 0.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 140 to 133 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Methanol Chemicals Company (TADAWUL:2001) fell to 3-years lows; down 6.82% or 1.30 to 17.76. Shares in AYYAN Investment Co SJSC (TADAWUL:2140) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.98% or 2.08 to 22.92.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.09% or 0.07 to $77.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.17% or 0.14 to hit $82.91 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 4.15 to trade at $2,003.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.03% to 4.01, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 104.79.
