Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Retail and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Anb Insurance (SE:8011), which rose 9.95% or 1.74 points to trade at 19.22 at the close. Meanwhile, The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) added 9.92% or 2.06 points to end at 22.82 and Saudi Industrial Services Co. (SE:2190) was up 5.11% or 1.12 points to 23.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Southern Province Cement Co. (SE:3050), which fell 3.20% or 2.30 points to trade at 69.60 at the close. Saudi Cable Company (SE:2110) declined 2.97% or 0.58 points to end at 18.94 and Al-Ahsa Development Co. (SE:2140) was down 2.25% or 0.28 points to 12.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 125 to 60 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.92% or 2.06 to 22.82.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.28% or 0.15 to $53.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.51% or 0.30 to hit $59.11 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1569.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.22% to 4.1253, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7518.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 97.980.
