Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Media & Publishing and Multi Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100), which rose 9.95% or 2.02 points to trade at 22.32 at the close. Meanwhile, SABB Takaful (SE:8080) added 9.92% or 2.60 points to end at 28.80 and Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310) was up 9.92% or 3.70 points to 41.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Baazeem Trading Co (SE:4051), which fell 6.24% or 6.00 points to trade at 90.10 at the close. National Metal Manufacturing Co. (SE:2220) declined 6.24% or 1.54 points to end at 23.12 and Electrical Industries Co (SE:1303) was down 3.64% or 0.94 points to 24.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 114 to 91 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in National Metal Manufacturing Co. (SE:2220) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.24% or 1.54 to 23.12.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 6.79% or 4.63 to $72.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 5.84% or 4.18 to hit $75.77 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.60 to trade at $1788.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.44% to 4.2267, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7514.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 96.370.
