Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Transport and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010), which rose 6.26% or 6.17 points to trade at 104.75 at the close. Meanwhile, ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240) added 5.29% or 3.62 points to end at 72.00 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) was up 4.12% or 1.77 points to 44.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140), which fell 4.14% or 0.62 points to trade at 14.35 at the close. Savola Group (SE:2050) declined 4.09% or 2.92 points to end at 68.50 and Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) was down 2.63% or 3.29 points to 121.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 102 to 63.
Shares in The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 6.26% or 6.17 to 104.75.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.58% or 1.24 to $49.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.10% or 0.58 to hit $53.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.16% or 1.80 to trade at $1094.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.31% to 4.1337, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 96.96.
