Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Insurance and Petrochemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8180), which rose 10.00% or 1.24 points to trade at 13.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8310) added 7.33% or 0.66 points to end at 9.66 and Wataniya Insurance Company (TADAWUL:8300) was up 5.07% or 0.66 points to 13.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co (TADAWUL:1304), which fell 6.40% or 1.56 points to trade at 22.82 at the close. Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8100) declined 5.38% or 0.70 points to end at 12.30 and Perfect Presentation for Commercial Services Company PJSC (TADAWUL:7204) was down 4.17% or 7.40 points to 170.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 141 to 98 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co (TADAWUL:1304) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.40% or 1.56 to 22.82.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.40% or 1.86 to $79.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $84.50 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 10.70 to trade at $1,806.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.18% to 3.99, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.02% to 3.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 104.04.
