Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Insurance and Petrochemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which rose 9.96% or 1.68 points to trade at 18.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) added 5.93% or 5.10 points to end at 91.10 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) was up 5.68% or 0.84 points to 15.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Industrial Export Co (SE:4140), which fell 9.92% or 9.70 points to trade at 88.10 at the close. Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (SE:4130) declined 4.25% or 0.90 points to end at 20.30 and National Petrochemical Company (SE:2002) was down 4.15% or 1.10 points to 25.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 128 to 42 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.45% or 1.31 to $54.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.05% or 1.28 to hit $63.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.80 to trade at $1224.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.37% to 4.2816, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7527.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 96.458.
