Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Hotels & Tourism and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.06% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Herfy Food Services Co (TADAWUL:6002), which rose 9.92% or 2.40 points to trade at 26.60 at the close. Meanwhile, CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8240) added 8.97% or 3.30 points to end at 40.10 and Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8230) was up 6.59% or 13.40 points to 216.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (TADAWUL:8270), which fell 2.82% or 0.68 points to trade at 23.42 at the close. Raydan Co (TADAWUL:6012) declined 2.66% or 0.80 points to end at 29.25 and Ataa Educational Co (TADAWUL:4292) was down 2.30% or 1.70 points to 72.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 174 to 122 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.36% or 0.26 to $72.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.50% or 0.38 to hit $76.43 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 10.10 to trade at $2,537.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.16% to 4.18, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 101.20.
