Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 1.94% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which unchanged 0.70% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) fell 0.06% or 0.01 points to end at 16.00 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was down 0.57% or 0.04 points to 6.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP), which fell 4.43% or 0.17 points to trade at 3.67 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 4.34% or 0.64 points to end at 14.09 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) was down 3.96% or 0.04 points to 0.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 30 to 4 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.30% or 0.23 to $76.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.41% or 0.30 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.15% or 28.30 to trade at $2,441.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.59% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 102.56.
