Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 1.44% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which rose 0.54% or 0.04 points to trade at 7.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) added 0.43% or 0.01 points to end at 2.34 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was up 0.10% or 0.02 points to 19.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which fell 3.78% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.34 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 3.77% or 0.14 points to end at 3.47 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) was down 3.01% or 0.16 points to 5.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.10% or 0.08 to $82.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.15% or 0.12 to hit $78.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.81% or 42.60 to trade at $2,312.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.76.
