Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 1.41% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT), which rose 1.17% or 0.05 points to trade at 4.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) added 0.66% or 0.01 points to end at 0.92 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.21% or 0.02 points to 9.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which fell 2.82% or 0.10 points to trade at 3.58 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) declined 2.79% or 0.01 points to end at 0.35 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was down 2.41% or 0.09 points to 3.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.59% or 0.48 to $82.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.49% or 0.38 to hit $78.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 1.55 to trade at $2,328.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 104.96.
