Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which rose 0.29% or 0.02 points to trade at 6.96 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) added 0.16% or 0.01 points to end at 3.87 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 14.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which fell 4.55% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.34 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 1.97% or 0.07 points to end at 3.67 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) was down 1.54% or 0.30 points to 18.88.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 8 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.14% or 0.12 to $85.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.20% or 0.16 to hit $81.13 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.15% or 27.35 to trade at $2,341.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 105.44.
