Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 1.18%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 5.38% or 0.13 points to trade at 2.62 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 0.39% or 0.04 points to end at 10.17 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was up 0.27% or 0.02 points to 7.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which fell 2.96% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.44 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) declined 1.92% or 0.32 points to end at 16.39 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) was down 1.86% or 0.26 points to 13.74.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 1.10% or 0.79 to $71.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.29% or 0.88 to hit $67.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 12.79 to trade at $2,661.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 106.00.
