Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT), which rose 1.74% or 0.29 points to trade at 16.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) added 0.74% or 0.01 points to end at 0.96 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was up 0.56% or 0.04 points to 7.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which fell 4.12% or 0.78 points to trade at 18.04 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) declined 2.24% or 0.01 points to end at 0.41 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) was down 1.79% or 0.09 points to 4.83.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 4.36% or 3.38 to $74.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.74% or 2.75 to hit $70.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 8.65 to trade at $2,518.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 101.76.
