Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which unchanged 0.51% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) added 0.30% or 0.05 points to end at 17.00 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) was up 0.06% or 0.01 points to 8.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 3.48% or 0.55 points to trade at 15.26 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) declined 1.88% or 0.09 points to end at 4.43 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) was down 1.49% or 0.22 points to 14.54.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.57% or 0.42 to $73.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.54% or 0.38 to hit $69.58 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.55 to trade at $2,596.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 100.59.
