Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.88% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 0.70% or 0.04 points to trade at 5.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) added 0.55% or 0.01 points to end at 0.92 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was up 0.18% or 0.03 points to 16.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which fell 4.79% or 0.80 points to trade at 15.81 at the close. Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) declined 3.78% or 0.32 points to end at 8.02 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) was down 1.34% or 0.03 points to 2.49.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 5.62% or 4.25 to $71.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 5.68% or 4.08 to hit $67.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.60 to trade at $2,754.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 104.13.
