Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 5.38% or 0.84 points to trade at 16.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) added 2.38% or 0.06 points to end at 2.67 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was down 0.34% or 0.02 points to 4.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which fell 5.07% or 0.38 points to trade at 7.12 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) declined 2.61% or 0.01 points to end at 0.44 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) was down 2.53% or 0.28 points to 10.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 7 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.35% or 0.25 to $71.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.29% or 0.20 to hit $67.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 18.61 to trade at $2,662.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.84% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 106.47.
