Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.73% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Semapa (ELI:SEM), which rose 0.41% or 0.06 points to trade at 14.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) added 0.32% or 0.01 points to end at 2.49 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) was up 0.28% or 0.05 points to 16.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT), which fell 2.49% or 0.11 points to trade at 4.12 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) declined 2.11% or 0.18 points to end at 8.35 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was down 1.61% or 0.06 points to 3.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.11% or 0.18 to 8.35.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.88% or 1.33 to $72.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.96% or 1.32 to hit $68.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 16.15 to trade at $2,797.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.52% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 103.96.
