Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which rose 1.11% or 0.08 points to trade at 7.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) added 0.21% or 0.01 points to end at 2.38 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.11% or 0.01 points to 8.91 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 1.90% or 0.27 points to trade at 13.96 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 1.65% or 0.06 points to end at 3.45 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) was down 1.35% or 0.07 points to 4.83.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.41% or 0.32 to $77.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.41% or 0.30 to hit $73.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 2.10 to trade at $2,543.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 101.39.
