Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.52% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which rose 0.46% or 0.06 points to trade at 13.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (ELI:SEM) added 0.13% or 0.02 points to end at 14.92 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.12% or 0.01 points to 4.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA), which fell 2.06% or 0.18 points to trade at 8.57 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 1.49% or 0.04 points to end at 2.51 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) was down 1.19% or 0.01 points to 0.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) fell to 3-years lows; down 2.06% or 0.18 to 8.57.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.66% or 1.26 to $74.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.69% or 1.21 to hit $70.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.95% or 26.25 to trade at $2,733.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 104.31.
