Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 1.30% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) unchanged 0.47% or 0.00 points to end at 0.43 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) was up 0.06% or 0.01 points to 8.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 1.54% or 0.22 points to trade at 14.10 at the close. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) declined 1.38% or 0.24 points to end at 17.20 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) was down 0.95% or 0.04 points to 3.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.08% or 0.06 to $74.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $70.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 14.50 to trade at $2,705.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 103.63.
