Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.45% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT), which rose 3.10% or 0.25 points to trade at 8.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) added 1.90% or 0.31 points to end at 16.62 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was up 1.69% or 0.12 points to 7.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which fell 1.86% or 0.09 points to trade at 4.96 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) declined 1.81% or 0.01 points to end at 0.42 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) was down 1.74% or 0.26 points to 14.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.91% or 0.68 to $74.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.03% or 0.73 to hit $70.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 13.00 to trade at $2,742.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 104.06.
