Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 4.56% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) added 3.76% or 0.01 points to end at 0.33 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.47% or 0.02 points to 4.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT), which fell 1.33% or 0.26 points to trade at 19.34 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 1.17% or 0.16 points to end at 13.55 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) was down 0.89% or 0.03 points to 3.33.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.06% or 0.05 to $85.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.07% or 0.06 to hit $80.65 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.95 to trade at $2,344.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.82.
