Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.42% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which rose 5.30% or 0.26 points to trade at 5.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) added 1.62% or 0.12 points to end at 7.52 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was up 1.02% or 0.04 points to 3.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which fell 3.03% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.33 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) declined 2.09% or 0.09 points to end at 4.22 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was down 1.51% or 0.14 points to 9.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 1.62% or 0.12 to 7.52.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.02% or 0.02 to $82.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $78.55 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.23% or 28.55 to trade at $2,346.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 105.21.
