Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Semapa (ELI:SEM), which rose 3.67% or 0.52 points to trade at 14.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) added 3.10% or 0.17 points to end at 5.49 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was up 1.92% or 0.07 points to 3.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT), which fell 2.85% or 0.54 points to trade at 18.41 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 2.63% or 0.36 points to end at 13.31 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was down 1.42% or 0.05 points to 3.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.40% or 0.34 to $84.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.51% or 0.41 to hit $81.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 24.70 to trade at $2,337.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 105.54.
