Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 0.86% or 0.17 points to trade at 19.25 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) added 0.61% or 0.02 points to end at 3.64 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.33% or 0.03 points to 9.21 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which fell 2.50% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.58 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) declined 1.63% or 0.07 points to end at 4.23 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was down 1.49% or 0.29 points to 19.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.66% or 0.56 to $84.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.56% or 0.46 to hit $81.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 7.75 to trade at $2,336.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 105.35.
