Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 3.82% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) added 2.92% or 0.01 points to end at 0.42 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) was up 0.55% or 0.02 points to 3.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which fell 5.11% or 0.88 points to trade at 16.24 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) declined 1.45% or 0.13 points to end at 8.85 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was down 1.12% or 0.05 points to 4.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.55% or 0.02 to 3.68.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.93% or 1.41 to $71.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.20% or 1.53 to hit $68.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.25 to trade at $2,689.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.30% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 100.32.
