Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP), which rose 1.05% or 0.04 points to trade at 4.03 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 0.72% or 0.11 points to end at 15.38 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.56% or 0.03 points to 4.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which fell 4.57% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.50 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) declined 1.58% or 0.01 points to end at 0.40 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) was down 1.44% or 0.26 points to 17.47.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.57% or 0.12 to 2.50.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.17% or 1.58 to $71.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.15% or 1.49 to hit $67.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 14.80 to trade at $2,528.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 101.20.
